Thankfully there are several products in the Vanish range that can help remove tough carpet stains as quickly as they appear.
Read on to discover how each of our five stain-busting carpet treatments can work wonders on even the most stubborn stains.
- Vanish Pet Spray
One of the nastiest stains out there; dog and cat mess really must be treated straight away! Once you’ve removed any visible mess that’s left on the carpet, spray Vanish Powerspray Pet directly onto the stained area and rub gently.
Working to ensure your stain is treated first time, Vanish Carpet Oxi Action Powerspray Pet contains a special formula that will also help prevent your pet from soiling the carpet again.
For the best results, leave the stain removal treatment for five minutes and blot until the stain disappears and you’re left with a pleasant smell.
- Vanish Powerfoam
More than just a carpet cleaner, Vanish Powerfoam High Traffic Carpet Cleaner will help to freshen and soften the fibres in your carpet thanks to its special conditioning formula.
Best used on carpet that’s looking a little tired, our popular foam’s been developed to combat the gradual build-up of dirt over time and is best used in areas of the home that get a lot of wear and tear, like hallways and staircases.
To use, shake the can and spray downwards onto the area you’d like to treat from a height of around 80cm. Then use a damp cloth to ensure the foam’s worked into the carpet and leave for up to two hours, or until dry. After a quick vacuum your carpet will be transformed.
- Vanish Powerpowder
If you’re looking for an easy and effective way to clean large areas of carpet, try Vanish Powerpowder. This fast drying action and deep cleaning product can breathe a new lease of life into your carpet in just 20 minutes.
Specifically designed to clean a large surface area, the Powerpowder’s moist conditioning formula helps to remove dirt, odours and dust that get trapped deep in the carpet pile.
Working wonders on mud, oil and grease stains, before you start using Vanish Powerpowder vacuum the carpet and open the windows.
Shake the can and sprinkle evenly onto a surface area no larger than 80cmx80cm and brush the powder into the carpet using a dry, soft bristled brush. After around 20 minutes the powder will have dried and bound to the stain, allowing you to vacuum away any residue.

Able to remove up to five times more dirt than vacuuming alone, our Hand Shampoo can soften, freshen and clean your carpet in just five minutes.
A quick fix for removing tough dirt stains that are ground into the carpet, Vanish Hand Shampoo also neutralises unpleasant odours leaving your carpet feeling and smelling wonderful.
To get started, mix one part Hand Shampoo with nine parts cold water and whisk until foamy. Apply the foam to the carpet stain using a brush or sponge and allow it to dry. Then simply vacuum away any foam that’s left behind.
If you have a particularly stubborn stain, pour the Hand Shampoo directly onto the stain and leave for up to five minutes.

This effective Powerspray removes even the toughest carpet stains from your carpet or upholstery. Although it is the ideal stain removal product for everyday stains, you can rest assured that no matter how big or small, this Powerspray will have your carpet looking like new in no time.
Spray the Vanish Oxi Action Carpet and Upholstery Powerspray onto the stained area and rub in gently. Let the product soak in for up to 5 minutes before washing as normal. If you have really tough stains to remove, repeat the process.
