Vanish is best known for providing Britain's No.1 stain removers, however there is more to the brand than helping you get amazing results with your clothes! We understand our consumers and their worries/concerns, and so, try to contribute to make their lives better by helping in the fight against cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a huge international campaign organised by numerous major breast cancer charities that happens in October every year to spread awareness of the disease and to raise funds for prevention, treatment and research into a cure.
Breast Cancer Awareness Month – October 2012
Approximately 50,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer every year and almost 12,000 of those succumb to the disease. Although the number of cases is on the rise, the good news is that the survival rate is too. This is down to advancements in targeted treatment, early detection and the kind of awareness of the disease that Breast Cancer Awareness Month promotes.
One of the key objectives of Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to encourage woman to check their breasts regularly.
How you can show your support
Beyond welcome donations, there are other ways you can take to spread awareness and get people talking and thinking about breast cancer care.
Several high street names like Bergen bread and Interflora are producing branded versions of existing products. A proportion of the revenue from each product sold will act as a donation to Breast Cancer Care. Some brands like Swarovski are even producing limited edition items like the dazzling Breast Cancer Care Ribbon Charm for the same purpose
